6 Avenue and Bow Trail

Westbound of 6th Avenue SW in Calgary between 9th Street and Bow Trail Flyovers experienced moderate severity transverse cracking, extreme rutting and ravelling. Maintenance and rehabilitation strategies are critical components of a pavement management system. Effective rehabilitation improves the pavement performance and prolongs the service life of an existing pavement. ALSA participated in the rehabilitation of flexible pavements by milling and overlaying new top lift of asphalt.
